    Reliability?

I find the data to correlate to my own experiences. Subaru WRX and Honda Civic were quite reliable as they stated. Our 2005 Legacy turbo as used car to avoid. I see why now Not terrible but slightly below average.

    Subaru Impreza AWD System

Gathermewool eludes to this but Subaru actually has many variants of AWD that all have common trait of full time instead of part time. Currently they have 5-6 different systems going currently tailored to each vehicle. They have moved away from LSD mechanically to electronic versions. My guess...

Get away from a car that you're upside down on?

Based on your #'s you'd have to pony up $4500($16000k loan - $11500 private value) to walk away with NOTHING. Your $3000 car with issues/maintenance required will end up costing $7500. Hopefully your logic overrides your emotions here.

    New Hampshire sales tax question

If the state of NY finds out somehow you would. I live in coastal region of NH where MA and ME(both have sales tax) businesses sprawl at border towns and those folks come up or down to shop. Our state profits with slightly cheaper cigarette taxes and full control of state only liquor/wine at...

They are after Paula Dean again

Double standards are simply the spin of what would interest viewers and incense others at the same time. Both lovers and haters watch/read media outlets.

Get away from a car that you're upside down on?

Take it as a life expensive lesson and try to sell yourself OR suck it up. Sucking it up will be cheaper. That warranty likely was a $500-$750 cost to dealer and they burned you. My point there is not salt in wounds but you overpaid and likely have shaky credit to owe that much. Weigh out...

They are after Paula Dean again

If you don't agree with media its biased it seems. I have heard FOX is biased then CNN is biased etc but defend away the media outlet they agree with. Media puts out interesting to viewers story and spin nothing else. Why get mad about it. You just feed into what they want.

    Forester 10 years 170k miles.review- trading in

On AC I'd get a second opinion. Mechanics vary vastly on diagnosis. Case in point my wife's 2005 Legacy GT wagon had AC issues. One "mechanic" with certs etc came back with compressor and few other bits for $1000+. The indy Subie guy(took two days) traced it down to wiring harness issue as he...

what's the best/easiest way to get rid of a car

If you can drive it go to a recylcer or two and see what they offer. It is better then "free" pickup typically in terms of cash. However "free" may involve some cash too and no hassle. Craiglist is dreadful in terms of folks following up or showing up.

    Jeep Cherokee Love?

I thought a wonderful really incredible SUV for the late 1980's when it got the 4.0. It definitely is way long in the tooth in design after 1995.

What was your fun / care free car?

1988 Subaru XT(odd ball wedge coupe) FWD purchased for $500 with lots of rust and extra set of winter tires. I found a guy to pass state inspection. It was my car all of college. I drove it from New England to Colorado to ski a winter break and FL for spring break. I ended up taking a planned...
