I recently bought a gallon , I thought it would be type IV but it is not, it is a tin can of original Type T, my questions is: is the original TYPE T JWS 3309 compliant? I know Type T is an old standard but I dont feel like wasting $.

Really, were going to throw Castrol under the bus because it didn't turn dark within 1000 miles. I have run castrol of varing kinds in my 01 since day 1 and at nearly 150k the engine is very clean. If you like dark oil you might want to try QS that is some dark oil out of the jug!

Sounds like Grip Tite sockets, you can get them at Sears. I have a set and really like them. They wont last a lifetime but they do the job. I have used them for a year or so. Gotten off all but the most rounded off bolts. I would replce those nuts!

If that Beautiful car were mine I would use any 5w-30 and change it every time I drove it. WOW that is a great car.

Get the Trico Neoform or another brand that is simalar. No place for ice and snow to stick. I used them this past year on my annual hunting trip and It is all I will ever buy.

You really have 2 great choices. M1 0W-40 or Castrol Syntec 0W-30 (GC). Your engine will love both of them. If Penzoil Ultra has their Euro blend available anytime you might want to try it. I just havent seen it here yet. Good luck and check out Saab Central for mechanical help.
