What is the difference between using 1 qt of HPL EC vs just using 1 qt of their motor oil. Wouldn't both do some cleaning?

What do most do for a GDI only engine? I've been doing 4,000 miles on my 6.6L GM engine. Is there any benefit to using HPL and extending the drain? I worry about timing chain wear from the soot build up.

I have a GMC truck with a GDI 6.6L gas engine. I put a catch can on it to separate the oil vapors. GM said they redesigned the PCV system to take out the oil. I'd say that it works. In 3,000 miles I have very little oil. Just water. I'm using Valvoline 5w30EP if that matters.

Has anyone heard of Lorenzo's diesel oil? The only place that sells it is insane diesel.com

I see Mobil 0w40FS is now SP rated. Wonder if they just cut the calcium in half and replaced it with magnesium.

Has anyone noticed that this oil has a pour point of -54C? Is this a typo? Has to be the lowest point point I have ever seen in a 1 10w30 oil.

I was looking at this oil and it has some of the best specs I have ever seen. CCS@-35 is 3250. MRV@-40 is 8400. Pour point -60. The rest of the specs are awesome too looks like a real winner Only bad part.....expensive.
