    Drain the Volt?

Many thanks to all for the replies and input. With having nearly 50K KM's and over 30K miles, I guess there's not much point in trying to extend the OCI. Makes me wonder what the longest OCI is on BITOG. I'll book the Volt at the dealership for some fresh lube and filter.

    Drain the Volt?

Hi. Looking for comments/input on when to drain the factory fill on my 2014 Chevrolet Volt that we purchased new in June 2014. The OLM is at 18% with 30,000 miles (48,500KM) on the odometer. Of those miles we have done 22,400 EV miles (36,000KM), or about 74% electric. I'll make it well into...

    2010 Buick LaCrosse - Penz Platinum 5w30 - 10,569m

I have the GM 3.6DI (LLT) in my Outlook. It's had high iron as well. There was a timing chain issue with these engines for certain model years (VIN breaks apply). An OLM recalibration was also circulating for applicable VIN's. The OLM is far more aggressive now and has pretty much precluded me...

There are some short trips definitely. It's a mix of highway and city. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to do a 'boil-off' run prior to draining. My preference would have been to give the car a good run up the highway and back before doing the drain. I seem to have fuel in both of my...

OLM hit zero on or just before Dec-02-2012 as my maintenance log has an entry for fuel on that date and I noted the OLM at that time. The OLM stayed there at zero for at least two weeks before I got annoyed and reset it. After that 'wrap-around' reset, the OLM went onto 65% which is when I did...

Hi. This UOA of PP (SM) is breaking new ground for me, a year long OCI with practically 10,000 miles. This for someone who was formerly on a 5000KM (3125 miles) regimen. This is a daily driver, mix of highway/city with a bias to highway. I've retained the old filter and will post some BITOG...
