Filter looked great to me. No ruffles on bypass. Was replaced with same oil/filter and was the last in my stash. Will be shifting over to Premium Guard XL's next change. Will be posting oil analysis when I get results back from Wix.

I've always blown out my lawn mower filters with compressed air with no issues... foam pre filter won't hurt anything either and will keep the paper element cleaner.

If it was mine I'd be running standard 75w-90 or 80w-90. That's what I have in the front diff/hubs on my Kubota. I'm sure what you found would be fine as well.

Its hard to see, but its the top of the pleat in the 5th picture. To the right of the seam. I moved them around and the next couple tore with minimal pressure as well, but were intact initially.

It doesn't burn a drop in 3k miles.. Always ran Quaker State 10w40 or Havoline. Great motor. It does get a highway run a few times a year and I don't think the extended OCI's are hurting anything.

Filter was on my zero turn for 2 seasons and roughly 80hrs. I bought a few of these for under $3 from home depot a while back and it was replaced with the same filter. 15w-40 Delvac. Nitrile was a little stiff, but not awful. Pleased overall.
