    Running Lean. Where to look?

Both banks at the same time ..................... fuel pressure too low? - pump or filter if fuel pressure not instrumented?

OBDeleven -- is it really a piece of junk?

I would go for the Autel AP200(white) - yes brand specific but then so is OBDII and VCDS........................ and you get a standard OBD scanner on all brands

OBDeleven -- is it really a piece of junk?

Erm ................. downloading what exactly? VCDS installer is around 70M (needed about twice a year IF you feel like having the latest version and it takes you about 3 seconds) - so what else are you doing/requiring that I am unaware of?

Strange Engine Pinking / Knocking - 1950s 2L Land Rover

Knocking at high RPM and not low? Wanna say that is not when knock is usually to be expected - especially on such a low compression engine. Sure its knock (as in spark) and not as in mechanical (gaga oil pump?)

3000 Watt Inverter vs. Makita MAC2400 Compressor

    3000W @ 12V with a 6000W surge capability? Off a car battery?................ Yeah right

    Upgraded my Scan Tool

Can I ask you professional Autel users with expired free update periods.................... Do you guys also find the Autel bunch lying to you about the tool still "operating as before" after the free update period expired? I have an MP808Pro that has been running without an update now for...

Voltage drop on battery when headlights are OFF, fine when they're on

Possible that there is a BMS on the vehicle that wasn't told it's got a new battery? (IOW coded the battery properly)

C&P 2 new CarQuest 84356 1 Made in China 1 made in Vietnam.

Interesting indeed - thanks. Just me or is the angle of pictures responsible for making me think there is a difference in the shapes of the ADBVs? Nope - huge difference if you blow them up

    MEYLE M0477 C+P about 8K miles/1 year

Had to replace another of these today - common here on smaller Renault, GM, and Nissan engines both petrol and diesel-powered. The stupid production technique with those bent-over tabs is distorting the ADBV (see marks on ADBV) hence the filter being empty when removed.

New AC Delco PF66 opened up

If that is in fact the way it operates then sure no problem if the lip is creating a proper seal. I have however cut a filter/2 where that is not the case if memory serves

New AC Delco PF66 opened up

Just me? ................... that ADBV serves no purpose with the punch/production techniques used on those holes and the areas betweeno_O

    Scan tools and yearly costs?

FCA, security gateway, blah blah blah call it what you want on different brands - they are all going in that direction. On my MP808 everything pre-those swear words continue to work without a subscription or renewal active. I intend to tackle those vehicles too if/once they come along and it's...

    Scan tools and yearly costs?

What @atikovi said above ................. I run an Autel MP808. Cannot say it's the best because I have never had the opportunity to do a direct personal comparison to other brands/models in real-world conditions I encounter

'19 Tacoma Cold Air Intake - Exciting

Any detailed pics of the location and inner layout of the MAF's mounting location? The change in butt-dyno numbers may be explainable by the MAF not getting the expected laminar flow across it (thus not metering "properly") Longterm fuel consumption numbers would be interesting

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

Its what I would do if you really want the AP200 to be the go-to tool. If you own a few brands (3+) then something like the MD806/808 probably makes more sense

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

Yes - buy and activate one brand (all models) for lifelong updates and use - any and all models of that brand. If you have another vehicle of a different brand, you pay 22 per year for that

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

As you have no doubt discovered Torque is a basic piece of software with access to reportable vehicle data governed by the abilities of the actual OBD dongle. Its main purpose in life was to help with the interpretation of the ECU's information on mixture preparation.............. on...

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

Any scaling setting is not going to change the actual behavior of the measured FP - on his own gauge outlay you can already see his max (red arrow) is around 1700 psi while his low (yellow arrow) is at around 400psi

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

Yeah let me do this: Vehicle manufacturers bring out official/authorized "firmware/software" for all the computers on vehicles to address "issues" that are normally only applied when the vehicle owner requests it to be done - this includes the ECU where a different "stock" map may have been...
