If it is pre-ignition , I would look into: Has the engine been modified to run at higher compression? incorrect or old spark plugs incorrect distributor too much carbon deposit in on the pistons engine running hot or overheating

generally the excess oil will burn off. Don't floor the throttle prdal until it has dropped to normal level. If the excess is more than 100ml, I would drain it

if you use agressive engine flush, you risk to dislodge the grime and block smaller oil passages and challenge the old oil seals. ideally BLS's suggestion is the best way. If parts cleaning is not possible or practicle, then a suitable grade oil (I would use quality mineral initially) with 600...

tyres generate more road noise as they wear. Age also makes them noisier and the rubber becomes harder. This can be accelerated by the environment (sun, heat, cold). I changed my 5 yo 1/2 worn hankooks because the road noise had become very unpleasant! I was not impressed!

You can go thier own oil finder on their website. I have used Sprinta F900 10W-50 (full synthetic). They do 10/40 and semi's as well depending on how deep your pocket is.
