    Gas containers/ remote fuel tanks

Anyone experience gasoline degrading quickly in a clear/opaque fuel tank that is exposed to sunlight constantly? We have a hydro seeder in our shop with this problem and every 30 days they are back with gas that has gone bad (vinegar-ish), even with fuel stabilizer in the tank. I think I...

Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer at Advance Auto Parts

Just saw this stuff at Advance, $14.88 I believe!!! Pure synthetic they claim. (but is it really?) Looks like a new animal to pick apart. Maybe better that their bright stock based old standard? Maybe same old crapola? Seems awfully expensive. Maybe it rebuilds your engine while your drive? LOL...

Hey guys, Just purchaswd a 1998 Nissan Altima with 105k miles (much on highway). It was owned by a friend of mine and he took as good care of it as he knew how (3k or so oil changes at whatever quicklube). Under the valve cover looks great, uses no oil, clean engine. What would be my best...

Users of 15w40 or 20w50, check in please...

Where do live, what do you drive, how many miles on the vehicle, do you use it year round, and WHY? I live in Atlanta, GA and own a 1993 Plymouth Acclaim with 178k and a 1990 Nissan pickup with 131k and am contemplating using one of these year-round.

    I'm Quitting Synthetic

Do you think maybe the wear numbers increasing is just an effect of the synthetic oil cleaning up the crud that dino left attached to the inside of the engine? I don't think that you can blame syns for higher wear. (at least not in most engines) Don't get me wrong, I use both syns and dinos...

    Impressed with 5w40 Rotella Syn!

I just gotta testify... 1993 Plymouth Acclaim, 2.5l. This car beats up oil badly. All the dino's I've tried look nasty after 2000 miles (to the eyes), and are consumed at about 2 qts/ 3000 miles or some even more! I've had the Rotella syn in now for 4000 miles (the longest i've ever gone)...

1990 Nissan Pickup 2.4l ka24e (SOHC) 130,000 miles This truck runs great, and clean, uses no oil. Used to commute 4 miles a day plus maybe a little runaround time on lunch and weekends. Not putting on much mileage. I am currently using M1 10w-30 SS with Napa Gold Filter. Temps here in the ATL...

    Filters for KA24E 90-97 pickup

I've heard that I can use one of two different filters for my truck (1990), besides the original non-bypass design. Those choices are the ph3600 (wix 51516) which would be my preference if it will fit (it is .8 inches longer than the 51361/ph3682 (stock), or the ph3614 (wix 51348) which I know...

1990 Nissan Truck Syncro or Oil Problem?

1990 Nissan Pickup f5s71c trans (5-speed) 2.4l engine 2wd 130,000 I just bought this truck this summer. It is my first Nissan. A few Questions. 1. To shift smoothly from N to R i have to go into 4 first then R, or it grinds a little. Is this characteristic? 2. Shifts a little hard when cold...
