    Determining Dilution Of Coolant

Reading here in the forum I see that somewhere around 50/50 ration of water to coolant concentrate is optimal and the freeze point is elevated by too much water and by too little water. I'm looking at green coolant, it's clean, and the Prestone hygrometer says the freeze point is 7 degrees F...

Oil additive to clean out sludge and deposits

Just going by my recent experience, depending upon how the oil passages are made, it might be a problem to use anything that cleans out too much crud too fast. I was working on a bike that had been sitting for a very long time, I thought I was doing something good by going to Mobil1 20w-50. I...

Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

I think I might just have to make the time. Could be great on a motorcycle.

    HD Center Stand

This is unusual in my experience as well. This photo is off eBay, it's the only photo I could find on the internet. I am working on a 1988 FLHTC that I'm thinking quite likely came stock from the dealership with this stand, talking with the owner. It's missing a few pieces, and I'm trying to...

    HD Center Stand

On a 1989 HD FLHTC, haven't found any documentation or instructions yet. Whatever was supposed to keep the center stand retracted and/or limit the rotation when in use isn't there. Anybody here know anything about these things?

    Guns For Wives

What specifically does she like or not like about shooting? Or is the objection not about shooting per se, rather about carrying the weapon? Guessing, if it's recoil and/or noise, or the inconvenience of a relatively larger sidearm, another option might be something like the J-frame S&W like...

    Fan Clutch 2002 GMC 1500

This has been a pretty easy truck to work on so far, I appreciate the way GM was thinking then. Ordered a Hayden 2786 fan clutch and the pneumatic-hammer 36mm wrench today, along with the remover tool for the plastic push-pins. Hopefully a pretty easy fix and I don't break any 21 year old plastic.

    Fan Clutch 2002 GMC 1500

2002 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton 4.8L V-8, fan clutch is always engaged. Is there any way to tell before I start pulling things apart if this fan clutch is thermally controlled or electrically controlled? Thanks!

    Question For 1970s-Era Military Pilots

On 1960s and 1970s era military aircraft like the F-4, F-111, KC-135, was there any way to tell from outside the aircraft if the radar or guidance systems were in use when the aircraft was on the ground and running? If the landing lights are on does that necessarily mean any other systems like...

BMW K1100LT - worth considering when riding two up?

Yes. There is no way to accurately or responsibly lump all Harleys together, and if someone hasn't ridden a recent one that has been carefully set up, this might be hard to believe. This wasn't my experience last summer following a 2017 Road Glide Special with Legends shocks. I was on a...
