Funnel or no funnel for filling oil?

I like a clean engine, so always use a funnel no matter the car. The funnel is ghetto-customized - I used an exacto knife to cut it to be shorter and thereby widen the mouth, so it fits somewhat snugly into the engine's filler hole. I wipe it off first with a piece (maybe 1/4) of a paper towel.

    noisier engine with 0w20

Toyota says 0w20 is fine for my 2006 1.8l corolla, so I put in M1 0w20 at the last oil change. Car has 170k on it and is in great shape. I notice now that the engine is a little noisier, especially when running errands and I start it while its still hot from the last trip, which makes sense...

why would kreen make the engine louder?

everything is fine and the car runs great, its just a little louder is all. I did not evacuate the kreen, I just followed the directions and let it soak for 3 hours.

why would kreen make the engine louder?

I did the cylinder soak treatment on my 2004 corolla a few days ago. No kreen in the gas tank or crankcase, just 1.5 oz in each cylinder for about 3 hours. The 1.8l engine has 167k on it and has been very well maintained and had no issues prior to treatment - I just wanted to try the stuff after...
