The MSDS seems to indicate that the base is Fumed Silica. I email SuperLube asking the question directly, but have never received a reply. Is there a grease compatibility chart that includes Fumed Silica? Is this the same as Silica Gel? What are the pros and cons for this grease base?

Can this be used in a rear differential limited slip application with a friction modifier?

I serviced the limited slip differential with Amsoil SVG, and I have a clunk in the first turn after it sits over night. Will this eventually cause a problem? If so, is Ford XL-3 or Lubegard limited slip supplement compatible with Amsoil SVG? Is one better than the other?

Does gear oil have a shelf life like motor oil?

Time for an rear gear oil change, and the manual recommendation is Motorcraft 75w85. Would Redline in the same viscosity be a better oil to use? Could 75w90 be used, and would there be any advantage to going to the higher viscosity?
