I would suggest waiting at least 12 hours before applying the second coat. Apply thin and lightly.

I used both Collinite 476/885 and 845 on several cars before switching to Finish Kare 1000P. The Collinites are nice, not hard to get off if applied thin,decent edndurance, but I found that here in the Northeast, the FK 1000p lasts longer, stands up to both summer and winter weather better...

Same thing happened to me on a warm humid day. Had used 476s before, wasn't a rookie with it. But that particular day it dried hard as a rock, was a pain to get off even with a buffer. Have had less trouble with 845, which I use on my folks 93 LeSabre. Comes off without too much of a struggle...

One significant way to decrease rolling resistance is to inflate your tires, whatever the model. We keep ours at 40-41 cold (max 44 cold) and while the ride is a little firmer, it does help fuel economy.
