As far as sludge goes and SAAB, I am fully aware of the sludge issue. Hence I bought a used 04 which has not had the sludge issues of the earlier models. Thanks for the concern but I would really like some info using auto rx and synthetic with my vehicle. Frank, thanks for the note. Sean

I always auto rx my vehicles at the 60k mark and then every 30 there after as a matter of maintenance.

It is a 2004 9-3. I have not dropped the pan or lifted the cover as of yet.

Quick question, my new to me saab (used) runs synthetic. I want to do the auto-rx would like to run dino during the treatment phase, what weight should I use and have any SAAB owners gone dino for treatment or just kept synthetic. Sean

I have checked all the air intakes, clean as can be. The coolant does concern me, I have the gold coolant, so no SCA testings supposedly. I will have to do some more checking.

The coolant level looks good. It is just above the min mark. I would assume I would notice a drop in the level if I had a leak. I will have to monitor it and try and determine if it is dropping.
