    Should he be concerned?

Hey all, A bud of mine is using PP 10w-30 in his toy camry and the temps around here are going over 100F as of lately. His 94 camry calls for 10/30 and we were wondering should he go with like a 10/40 or maybe a HD30 or HD10/30? He wants engine protection and could care less about fuel efficiency.

High mileage wanting to switch over to synthetic

I would say if your truck doesnt burn oil or leak oil you would probably be fine. I switched to syn from conv oil at 165k and have had no trouble. In fact it did clean up the interior of the engine quite nicely and I got better gas mpg.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a synthetic sae 30 weight oil from any manufacturer? If not, what is a great 30 weight oil for summer usage?

Did I ruin my PS pump?

Probably not. Does it make the noise now that you have put fluid back in? Does it turn freely now from end point to end point? If it does then I would say your ok. Just watch it for awhile.

GM Introduces Dexos I and Dexos II

It seems that GM is really complicating things, and taking a step backward in technology. They're like a dog chasing it's tail, trying to iron out this issue they've created. And we are surprized they are bankrupt??? lol
