Ravenol ATF Equivalent for Mazda Type-FZ

I have used this in my CX-5, did 3 drain and refills, shifts are great and the Ravenol is a full synthetic, the OEM fluid is petroleum based, was looking for an upgrade from the factory stuff. Quite a few are using Ravenol FZ on the Mazda forums with great success. Mazda FZ Fluid is petroleum...

    Bosch plugs

I can also add that I used a set of Bosch Iridiums in my Hyundai XG350 and the car didn't like them at all (strange idle, lack of power, lastly Misfire and CEL), changed them to NGK Iridium and it runs silky smooth again. Lesson learned the back 3 plugs are a pain to get to, do it once, do it...

Renewable Lube (RLI) ATF and gear oils

Your probably right it is expensive, I will most likely stay with Amsoil, tried and true also fairly cost effective. I just wanted to post the question about RLI to see if anyone uses their lubes, I was just curious. Thanks for the feedback

Renewable Lube (RLI) ATF and gear oils

Hello, It's been awhile since posted on this site, my question is has anyone used the RLI ATF or gear oil? I tried to search on this site also google and have found very little. I have used their 5w-40 motor oil in the past, it seems to get some rave reviews here. Thanks

GETG getting ugly... just really awful.

Sad indeed,I still have an unopened quart of G-Oil. I guess I'll keep it with my bottle Valvoline SynPower brake fluid, might be worth something ($$$) to a collector one day.

    Anyone run Nokian’s year round?

I wanted to chime in as I have the Nokian WR G3 w/nitrogen fill on my Volvo C3O, I bought from a Jack Williams tire store here in Pa a few months ago to replace a set of kumhos that had worn out. They are a good tire and ride very quiet (A little quieter than the kumhos). Although they could be...

    LiquiMoly FTW

Yes, It is good stuff, I have used it in my vehicles, Right now running XADO 5w-30 in the Hyundai. Great results with XADO but not worth the cost IMHO, The price really went up since last year. LM MoS2 is very cost effective and easily available at most NAPA.

This is what I use, It's been very reliable for me for about a year that I have been using them. They offer online storage, e-mail and search engine, kind of like google or bing. They seem to be a good company. Info can be found here.

    Volvo coolant

The O.E.M. coolant for Volvo is PENTOFROST NF (with silicates) my dealer stated that the volvo AF is repackaged pentosin, most aftermarket AF is fine just avoid Dexcool. My original AF was blue/green (09 C30), pentosin is the supplier for volvo AF and PSF as well as fluids for other euro cars...

Life ends at 359,833 miles - 1998 Chevy Cavalier

Congrats!!! I had a similar experience when I traded my 92 Acura Integra in with 270k on the ODO,the car ran great but the clear coat started peeling on the roof and fenders and a few other quirks. Loved the car, but didn't want to put money into a 19 yr old car at the time (It was old enough...

    Ubuntu forum hacked

I just installed Kubuntu 12.04 LTS on a new to me 1yr old dell inspirion laptop I repaired about 2 weeks ago, never signed up for the ubuntu forum but I do use ubuntu one cloud storage. Although they say it hasn't, hopefully it has not been compromised as well. Not that I have any sensitive data...

    HAMP Oil Filter Truth?

Back when I had my integra I bought a half dozen online for around 6 bucks each in 2007 or 2008, they are good filters and will serve you well, I used some on my hyundai also (my integra and XG350 used the same filter). With that said they aren't any better than most regular store bought filters...

    TINY oil filter for WRX!

Definitely one of the smallest I've seen, kinda looks like a OEM hyundai filter but smaller, also amazed the WRX only has a 4.4 qt oil capacity, by comparison the T5 in my volvo takes 6 qt and its a 2.5 turbo as well.Very interesting. I would say your plan to go 3k on an oil change is a wise one...
