Wrong Oil put into my 1999 Mercedes Benz CLK320

I don't think the oil had anything to do with your O2 sensor failing. We still use M1 5W40 ESP M on all our cars except the AMG models (M1 0W40) and SLR (M1 15W50)

Wrong Oil put into my 1999 Mercedes Benz CLK320

Use either Mobil 0W40 or Mobil 1 5W40 ESP and you will be just fine. That engine (M112) had a bit of a problem with stuck rings causing oil consumption. Change your oil every 10k or once a year at least. That way you won't have a problem at all.

Mercedes 722.4 ATF & Differential Fluid Question

You could use newer MB ATF 134 fluid in the transmission. It's the specified fluid for the 722.9. We use it on all the 722.6 transmissions, and I was told it is backwards compatible to the earlier transmissions as well. It's expensive though...

    VW dealership brainless monkeys

I'm almost positive it wasn't a case of a defective part. In cases like this the Service Advisor will almost always make something up. He's not going to say "the guy who did the oil change forgot to tighten the filter all the way" or "the guy who did the oil change didn't install an o-ring."...

    Cooper CS4 Touring tires

If I lost any milage at all it would be very minimal. I can't say for sure since the wife drives it, but I'm willing to bet you won't notice a difference.

    General Grabber HTS

I just installed a set on my father-in-law's Pilot and they are much better than the OEM Bridgestone for sure. Seem like a high quality tire, smooth and quiet. I may consider putting a set on my ML once the CrossTerrains wear down (which will be a while).

    Cooper CS4 Touring tires

I have them on my four door Civic. They have about 15,000 miles on them and they are great tires. They are wearing great. I find them quiet and comfortable. Much better than the cheap OEM tires the car came with. I think they compare well to a Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires, only much, much...

any advantages to low-profile tires/bigger wheels?

I wouldnt recommend changing the offset of the wheel very much, if at all. If the wheels you want wont fit unless you install spacers to reconcile clearance issues (ie tire hits the strut): your wheels are too wide, or have the wrong offset. I've seen far too many cars with incorrectly offset...

Can your car last 1,000,000 miles..

The car with the highest milage I have ever worked on was a mid 80's(?) W124 diesel with 425,000 and I thought that was a lot of miles. The SUV with the highest milage I have ever worked on was a 1998 ML 320 with 267,000 miles that a lady used to pull a small horse trailer. That had the...
