    hydrostatic transmission oil change

I just did the K46 for the first time in my 2015 Crasftman Pro rider. I just watch a couple of Youtube vids first and it was pretty straight forward and not difficult to do. I ended up using the Amsoil Hydrostatic fluid as they recommended it as a better app than regular motor oil. It made a...

It looks great. Love the all black look on them coupled with the Holden emblems. Changing the badge completely changes the look of the car IMO. I still get tons of stares and people asking what kind of car it is, I have yet to see another around where I live. I likely have the only one in the...

Where does your favorite car live?

The SS is always garaged and the Acadia is as well unless I am working in there for the day. The Grand Prix (The beater) always sits outside. The SS hibernates during the winter but I am very tempted to pull the trigger on some Blizzaks if there are any good sales this Black Friday. It is just...

    Mobil 1 and dexos1 G2

"Actually you are in the majority. Very few owners have mechanical issues the very few are intensified making the issue seem larger then actual." I would agree with that. The car specific forums seem to be ripe with "The Sky is Falling" type threads when it comes to vehicle issues.

    Long oilfilter - GM 3.8l

the PF52 can replace the PF47 which is the original spec filter on our 3.8. I had to go look it up as I couldn't remember it as it has been so long since I have used the original sized filter.

    Long oilfilter - GM 3.8l

Should be the PF52 or ACDelco equivalent to that number. It is the longer version of the one that is spec'd for the 3.8 in our 04 Grand Prix and what I run on it.

Tremec HP MTF - No more ATF?

So it would appear that Tremec has come out with their own branded MTF for use in ALL Tremec Transmissions from 2008 and newer. I just stumbled across this yesterday and figured I would post about it to get some thoughts on it from the experts. All the of the Tremec transmissions I have owned...

Castrol SAF Carbon Modified SAE 75W/85

Car will stay stock and I will use factory spec fluids until warranty is up. In this case the 6060 uses a D3 rated ATF or GM's re-branded fluid. I am just thinking down the road when out of warranty and since this car won't see any action during the colder months I thought of maybe mixing in a...
