The [censored] auto industry is moving over to let the Koreans run the show now. Thats what greed gets you, the customers have been loyal- it is a shame the [censored] auto industry has not stayed loyal to their craftsmanship.

    Oil cooler

The more I look into this- I will just leave the vehicle alone, it is possible Hyundai has an oil cooler on there. My 2003 Sonata had one, I cant seem to come across anything under the car, near the radiator, or where the filter sits on the perch- except for a trans cooler.

I was interested in an Oil cooler and filter relocation kit for my Sonata, does anyone know of any good brand out there. Possibly thinking about one of those vacuum oil pumps aswell- I dont want to go under the car anymore. Well maybe I will do a once a year drain from the pan- the Fumoto valve...

    Valvoline Brand For Sale

Shell may eat them up- they took over on Pennzoil and QS. Whoever takes them over will be a company with a strong reputation in the oil industry. Looks like we're running out of oil choices, Sounds to me we will be buying our oil choices just on the bottle. The product going in the bottles will...

Good quality oil filter for Nissan Maxima.

Seems every filter I come across is in the $9 price- range except for one fram which is $7. The other guys are right if your going to be doing frequent OC's, they will all be sufficient. AUTOZONE has Bosch oil filters for $6.49 part#3323

    Which is best?

There was issues with using aftermarket oil filters on the newer 4cyl. Sonatas, upon startup you would hear a metalic sound. The filter for that vehicle happens to be a widely used filter from farm and heavy work equipments to many other autos on the road.

    Motorcraft oil and filter

If you can purchase the MC blend for the same price as conventional use it. I use OEM filters, nothing wrong in that choice. Until recently I used QS Greenbottle 5w20 because it was the factory fill that Hyundai uses. I'll be away in PA til Sunday night, you guys enjoy the weekend.

    Oil Drainplug Crush ring/washers

Thinking about the matter- maybe the crushrings purpose is not so much to prevent leakage, but to prevent you from damaging the pan by driving the bolthead into.

    HID xenons

They're blinding and are abused- factory HID-xenons are not available in assortment of colors. If aftermarket companies left alone the 4000k-4300k temperature range. They would never of perked the law enforcements eye.

    Oil Drainplug Crush ring/washers

Truthfully I dont have the problem with the aluminum crushrings when I am in control of my oil changes. In the dead of winter when its cold here in New York, Hyundai does that one oil change... and always manage to torque the filter and drainplug on. Thats where I have the issue with the...

    Oil Drainplug Crush ring/washers

How many of you out there... reuse, don't use, use aluminum or nylon/plastic crushring washers. I ditched all the aluminum crushrings that came with the OEM filters, I am sick of peeling and cutting off the crushrings from the plug- so far the nylon/plastic washers are holding up and working...

5W-30 vs 10W-30 start up viscosity

I don't believe there can be any given answer to the comparison. Conventional oil is a natural resource and by rights when something is natural has limits. Being a natural resource will react differently to different conditions, climate, work load, etc. Sythetic oil is engineered from the...
