    Rustproofing...

All day, or maybe 2 days...but I use 2 different products and do inside the frame or what passes for a frame if doing a unibody. I remove lights and get inside underneath...Hate rust.

I may have an oil filter problem....

    My 4.0 TJ stash: 1 Mopar, 2 Baldwin, 1 Mobil 1, 2 Purolator, and I think a Fram XG.

    New Fram I found..

It will be a useless cardboard nut.

Upgrade H4 and H1 Bulbs...no blue tint, please.

I had good light in my old S10 Blazer with Sylvania Silver Star. The light was a pure white and not blue/violet. In my opinion, it was something of an improvement over OEM lamps, but I did have to re-aim the headlight assemblies because they hit the reflectors at a different angle that the...

New truck. Oil and filter suggestions

Well I got one brand suggestion out of all this. I was hoping a few owners would pop up saying "mine sounds great on such and such (brand, weight synthetic or conventional), and the UOAs look great..." I guess most of the advice I got on here is just use any oil that is spec'ed in the OM, and...

New truck. Oil and filter suggestions

Traded in my 4 cylinder Toyota Tacoma (4 speed auto) for a Nissan Frontier 4.0 liter V6 (so I didn't have to manually downshift to third on almost every little highway hill.) What are folks liking for oil and oil filters for these? Thanks! RR

    Oil Filter Question

Welcome to the forum! It would probably work to do that, but you always take a chance when you use non-specified filters that it would create some unforseen problem at some point. I wouldn't do it. Besides, the M1 is better than the Toyota OEM, in my opinion.

Is it worth it to change to Toyota's 0w20?

The lower number (can't get much below zero) before the W is a good thing = better cold flow. Toyota OEM motor oil is pretty good, in my opinion. Welcome to the forum!

    through-wall AC install

Sounds like a good idea. I assume you have hot water heat in NJ? No ducts definitely complicates central air, but they have systems for doind so with the small, flexible, high velocity ducting--expensive though. My wife won't let me put on through the wall in the master bedroom so we can turn up...

    Burnouts!

My truck doesn't have enough HP to burn out...LOL (I don't mind though, I use it for a truck and not a sports car.)

Craziest car I've seen in awhile...

I see a lot of Imperial bits in it. I want to say '61 or '62 Imperial headlights and front clip, and also the bullet tail lights. I'd roll it.

Do you get the oil change "itch"?

More like, I don't want it to run over the warranty mileage or something, than the itch to crawl under my truck. Or if I'm planning a trip, or it's coming due, and I know I have time now but may not in a couple/few weekends.
