    RP 0/5w40 vs. M1 TDT 5w40

First of all, I am looking for advice for my Champion 6000/7000 watts generator. Has anyone used RP 5w40 or 0w40 in their OPE. I know M1 TDT 5w40 is a proven product, but would like to know RP 0/5w40's shear stability compared to TDT 5w40. I am somewhat interested in the RP is because I have...

    Generator Running Compressor Help

Thanks guys. The compressor is wired for 120 volts and I believe they are 20 amps as I plug into my wall outlets, they run normal. One more question. When you cold start the generator with choke on, do you leave it in choke mode to let it warm up before switching to run? Off topic, I got the...

    Generator Running Compressor Help

Good evening Bitogers! I just bought a Champion 6,000/7,000 running/surging watts. I would like to run a Craftsman 5hp/25gal compressor. Will the generator be able to run just the compressor by itself? I read in the manual reference that a 1.5hp compressor takes about 2500 watts running and...

Car Manufacturers vs Efficiency Over Time

Sorry if I worded things confusingly. I meant to ask "Some brands loses efficiency over time?" Originally Posted By: KrisZ I can already see where this thread is going... I don't get what you are saying and I am not trying to start anything here. Simply just curious.

Car Manufacturers vs Efficiency Over Time

I am looking for your opinions or observations on the efficiency of different car manufacturers over long term of 7 years/100,000 miles or more. To make things simple, the top criteria for efficiency would be fuel economy then performance (power wise). I understand the notion that if a car is...

    Online Technical Sources

Hi guys, I have heard there are All Data, Mitchell, and etc. online technical sources. What do you recommend and the pros/cons of each? Let's just say I only want to change the timing belt and would like to purchase just that part of the manual, can I do that? I would also like to be able to...

Changing Spark Plugs on RX330 and RX350

I have some questions on changing spark plugs on RX330 and RX350 with drive by wire. By the look, I will have to disconnect the throttle body from the rear intake manifold to reach the rear spark plugs. I read in a Haynes manual on a 2003 Accord and up, it says that if one removes the throttle...

    Honda HRR216 Surging Problem

Thanks guys for the website! Actually I have three HRR216, one of the earlier model with heavy deck (about 15 years of usage now) and two later ones with light deck. It is the later ones that are having this problem. To be fair, the earlier model is used year-round. I feel that my earlier...

    Honda HRR216 Surging Problem

I am having problem with my Honda HRR216, which I have two of them with same symptom. The engine starts fine but when running at optimal speed, it would surge up and down. You can even see the spring mechanism (governor?) moving back and forth. If you move the level *with the rabbit and...

    Aftermarket Oxygen Sensor Causing Hesitation?

An update. I scanned the car yesterday, it came up with slow response and running lean in reference to the Bosch 02 before the CAT that was replaced. I had put back in the old OEM that I saved and the car is back to running normal. As of now, I am positively sure that the CAT needs...

    2009 Fit Oil Choices

You may have noticed based on UOAs that Honda engines are very easy on oil. With Synpower or any synthetic, 10K OCI is not a thing to worry at all. The only OTC oil that I would run 10K OCI on almost ANY engine (maybe not on those special Audi DI, etc.)would be Mobil1 EP. If she drives around...

Duralast Gold Cmax vs Gold vs Wagner Ceramic

Thank you everyone. I am going with the Gold Cmax since I really like their rubber shim technology and from experience they brake smoothly.

Duralast Gold Cmax vs Gold vs Wagner Ceramic

I will check into the Wearever Gold. I always thought the Wagner Thermoquiet starts with "PD" were ceramic. How come they are stated organic whereas the QC is listed as ceramic. Am I missing something?

Duralast Gold Cmax vs Gold vs Wagner Ceramic

Hmmm. I just went to the garage to take a look at the boxes of Wagner I saved. Out of 7 or 8 boxes, only one starts with "QC" and the rest is with "PD". As for the RX, Wagner has QC for the front and PD for the rear.

Duralast Gold Cmax vs Gold vs Wagner Ceramic

Hi everyone! I will be changing brake pads on a 2008 Rx350, possibly front and rear. I am looking at Duralast Gold CMax, Duralast Gold, and Wagner Ceramic Thermoquiet. Wagner Ceramic - I have used these for most cars and very satisfied with them. Duralast Gold - I have only used these once...

    Let's Talk Valvoline!

Brad, you mind sharing in what ways did you feel it was better? I think the best value is Maxlife. I don't recall anyone say anything bad about it. A lot I heard said their mpg went up a bit which may be true due to the help of the seal conditioners helping to restore the seals in better shape...

    Let's Talk Valvoline!

I am thinking that the reason Synpower doesn't have high TBN is because most synthetic crowd tend to change early anyway. Maybe they used the money saved put into R&D for better oil. Just a thought.

    Let's Talk Valvoline!

Lets discuss Valvoline! I have used Valvoline oil in the past and liked it. Haven't used them for the past 5 years and I am looking to use them back. Has their oil formulation changed since after they were sold? It appears to me after looking at various UOAs is that their oils, especially...
