    Hastings racing filter

Hastings lists the LF140 as a racing version of the LF115, but I can't it doesn't say how or what makes it a "racing" filter. Anybody know?

    Bleeding brakes by yourself?

Last month I bought a Capri Tools Vacuum Brake Bleeder and it is the absolute best 1 man bleeder I've ever used. Flushed my entire brake system by myself in 20 minutes. It was $85 on amazon, which is much more expensive than the $0.00, the gravity fed method costs, but works so much better than...

Pennzoil High Mileage vs Quaker State High Mileage

Personally, I hate it when some foreign company comes in and buys up two iconic American companies and then decides that one them is not going to get the best that company has to offer. In this case making Quaker State the "lower" or "lesser" line. I always loved the Quaker State brand and my...

    Post Your Latest Coolant Change.

Changed coolant in a friend's '02 Buick Lasabre. Opened the radiator and it was solid. About the consistency of river mud and reddish/brown color. After removing the radiator, thermostat, upper and lower hoses and cleaning all of them up, then came the job of flushing the engine. Used a couple...

    5w30 really better protection?

I've got a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis that has 210,000 miles on it. It's had Hydrotex 5w30 in it since it was new, but it calls for 5w20. Engine literally runs like it is new and the MPG is great.
