2019 Toyota Prius Prime Oil/Filter recommendation

I have a 2019 Toyota Prius Prime - It's approaching it's last free Toyota care dealer oil change and I am on my own after this one. It takes 0w16 from the factory which is sort of an odd ball - I do not know much about the toyota 1.8L hybrid motor and if it's picky with certain brands of oils...

GM 305 cleaning out... How should I proceed

Ok so I have a 305 in my 22 year old GMC pickup truck. Overall the engine runs extremely well and only has 87,000 original miles. I plan on keeping it for a long time. I did the lower intake manifold gaskets recently and when I had the intake manifold off the valley of the block was sludged...

What fluid to run in fresh PS system

So I just finished replacing the power steering gear, power steering pump and all the lines in my 1998 GMC Sierra. Everything is new. Is it ok to run Maxlife ATF as power steering fluid (I have some already)? Or do I need to run branded "power steering fluid" that's approved for GM PS systems?

    whixh ATF for older 4L60e?

I have a '98 GMC K1500 with 75k. Truck runs great, but the transmission fluid has probably never been changed in it. I plan on dropping the pan for a filter change and get some fresh fluid in the old 4l60e. Im also doing a deep pan upgrade that'll add 2 qts of capacity. Which fluid should I go...

snowblower shear pins, OEM or aftermarket?

in regards to snowblower shearpins...OEM MTD shear pins without a cotter pin are $5 each through most retail and online suppliers. I can buy 10 aftermarket shear pins made for MTD machines on eBay for a little less than $20 shipped to my door. Is there a real difference in functionality...

How to properly store a snowblower off-season?

I've been getting alot of mixed answers on this. Most online research I've done has said to pour some Sta-Bil into the gas tank, run it for five minutes, do a fresh oil change and store it and it'll be good for until I need it again (like 9 months from now). My snowblower manual says to: 1)...

What oil for first oil change on snowblower

I just bought a new Troy Bilt 2690XP that has a 208cc motor. I have to do an oil change after the initial 5 hours of use. On the engine it suggests to use 5w30, does any plain old automotive engine oil work fine? I was planning on switching it over to synthetic (probably M1EP), would this be a...

    Valvoline durablend 5w30?

I started using this oil in my Acura TSX along with a Pureone filter, my car has 65k, it was getting oil changes with Honda 5w30 Dino and Honda filter at the dealership. I did a search and didn't notice anybody posting much about this oil. I was planning on sticking with it and going...

My Jeep requires 75w140 synthetic in the diff's and I was wondering what peoples experience is with it since its tempting at $9 a qt. I've heard plenty of good things about Supertech's motor oil, but not much about their gear lubes. Thoughts? Opinions?
