2010 Nissan Frontier 4.0L Napa Oil Filter Issue

So I called a dealership and asked them for the part numbers of a 2009 and 2010 and asked if they were the same filter. The parts guy told me that the filter is the exact same between the 2009 and 2010 Frontier 4.0L, but they did just recently change the part numbers on their filters. So...

2010 Nissan Frontier 4.0L Napa Oil Filter Issue

I run Napa Gold/Wix filters on all my vehicles, since they seem to be the best and at a somewhat reasonable price. My Frontier's idle is also smoother and the timing chain noise at startup is reduced. For the first oil change on my truck, Napa gave me a 1356 oil filter. When the time came for...

    Mobile1 0w-40 European Blend?

So, I was at wally world tonight and walked down the oil aisle as I always do and came across something new: M1 0w-40 European Blend. I never noticed "European Blend" on the M1 0w-40 bottle before. Do I just need to pay better attention, or is this a new oil from Mobile?

Oil Temp or Oil Pressure Gauge

Thanks for all the replies. But it looks like there is no consensus, lol. I am leaning towards temp at the moment. I am going to go autocrossing and I think knowing that the oil is up to temp will be more useful than knowing the pressure.

Oil Temp or Oil Pressure Gauge

I am thinking of adding some gauges in my SRT-4, including a wideband O2 and scan gauge. I can add an oil temp or pressure sender to the scan gauge, but I am not sure which is a better choice. So, if you could have 1 gauge, oil temp or oil pressure, which would you choose and why?

    NCAA Mens Basketball fans

Go Dawgs! What was the deal with all the people on ESPN talking about how dangerous MSU was? MSU had to win 4 games in 4 days to make the tourney and then traveled all the way across the country to play a game that was almost a home game for UW! They looked tired and under-manned. Purdue will...

    Amsoil recommendation for SRT-4

Just an update. After way too much reading on this website, I am going to try Redline 5w30 instead of the Amsoil. I am sure that both oils will work well, but it seems that the Redline is a better oil for a high temp turbo engine like in my SRT-4. If it doesn't work well after a few changes, I...

Redline 5w-40 vs Redline 10w-40 Specs

    Per the Redline website, the 10w-40 has a lower viscosity than their 5w-40. What's up with that? Am I missing something? ................5w-40 10w-40 Vis @ 100c, cST 15.1 14.6 Vis @ 40c, cST 94 93 HTHS 4.6 4.7 http://www.redlineoil.com/pdf/4.pdf

    Amsoil recommendation for SRT-4

Thanks for the welcome and replies everyone. I think I am leaning towards the SSO. Originally Posted By: zulu How much is your Napa selling the ASL for? 7.99/quart. They want 8.49/quart for the M1. Go figure. Originally Posted By: canawler Greetings from a fellow SRT-4 owner! I love my...

    Amsoil recommendation for SRT-4

I am thinking of switching from 5w30 to Mobil 1 to Amsoil in my SRT-4. The car is driven 3-5k a year and I plan on taking it to the occasional autocross. I am not too concerned with the price given that the car will only have its oil changed once or twice a year. Also, the local Napa sells the...
