What about mixing 3 quarts of M1 0w-20 with 2 quarts of M1 15w-50? Using the viscocity calculator yields:
Viscocity @ 40c of 65.9
Viscocity @ 100c of 11.2
This would be a fairly heavy 30w.
Jelly,
Here are some links to check out. These are mainly links to Best Motoring videos. Best Motoring is a Japanese company that reviews cars on video. They review the cars by taking them to the track and racing them against other cars in the same class. The in-car camera views are pretty...
I know I could have left the oil in longer, but I wanted to see what was going on with the engine and I couldn't wait anymore. It was hard enough to wait 3,000 miles. I will extend my next OCI and do another analysis.
Quattro Pete, the factory-recommended OCI for severe driving conditions is 3,000 miles. For normal driving conditions it is 5,000 miles. I don't want to go past 5,000 miles because of warranty issues. Maybe I will do a run of 4,500 to 5,000 miles.
Would you guys say this oil is a good match to the engine? Reason I ask is there is an Autozone next to my house that has a pretty good supply of German Castrol I think it may be time to stock up.
As I noted in my first post I am running another interval of GC in the car. I am interested in...

ekpolk, I noticed the same thing with the GC. That there are bottles of the "Made in USA" 0w-30 mixed in with the GC. I almost bought a quart of the "Made in USA" by mistake. In the Autozone closest to me all of the Castrol 0w-30 bottles have dust, which is good for me .
As for your question...
Here is a link to my favorite Best Motoring video. The video shows an R34 Skyline vs. RX-7 vs. S15 Silvia vs. Supra.

Best Motoring has some great videos with very nice cars. I love the in car views that they show. Have you seen the videos with the stock and modified cars that they take to the track and race?
Buster, there are several high output 4 cylinder cars out right now. Don’t forget that the Subaru WRX and the Dodge Neon SRT-4 are both around the same price as the RSX Type-S. Both of these cars also get close to 30 mpg.
First I wanted to say this site is a great resource. Here is my question. I have recently purchased a brand new 2003 Mazdaspeed Protégé. Until I found your site I had planned on the following. To change the oil after the 600 mile break in period and use Mobil 1 0w-40 oil with a Mobil 1 oil...
