    Windshield wiper no fluid fix

SuperTech and don't know why there was mold over the screen - and couldn't explain if it was mold/anything else. All that I know was the nozzle wouldn't squirt and the bleach did cleanup anything (possibly mold). Moving forward alcohol seems like a perfect answer to mold in the tank.

    Windshield wiper no fluid fix

I have always used ST maybe should try RainX - how hard is it for these manufactures to put some anti-mold (not necessarily bleach) stuff into it!! Stagnant water with heat from surrounding engine heat is a perfect conditions for mold.

    Windshield wiper no fluid fix

I doubt it (its all plastic tubing and a measly $10 water pump) for 1G tank few oz. of bleach is preventive maintenance!!

Ever had a engine or Transmission failure?

Never in my 25 yrs in driving different types of autos - most auto makers make good engines and transmissions. Obviously high torque monsters like trucks fail because of poor engineering or simply neglect results in failed outcomes

    Windshield wiper no fluid fix

My overengineered MB threw me a unique problem where the windshield wiper fluid wasn't coming out inspite of the motor being engaged. What next go onto YouTube and there was a detailed explanation on how to open up and clean the pump plastic screen. I simply couldn't fathom how black gunk...

MB Ticking / Tapping noise only when warm

It's the HP fuel pump got mine replaced under warranty. It sounds like a diesel engine under idle. Its a real expensive job $2000 for a $50 part. BTW the ticking noise is also at speed you just don't hear it with the road noise.

Toyota/Lexus 3.3L V6 Water Inlet (Valley) Plate Coolant Leak

These f..ckass jobs stick with OEM!! Seriously not worth the cost advantage. Same goes with the rear air-fuel sensor another class act. My daughter totaled my Highlander so no more of that gripe

    Costco car purchase experience.

Seriously most of these new cars come with features like lane assist, bind spot monitoring, a decent size LCD (not even LED) display, Apple pay - rest is the same. Smaller engines with turbos give me a break. All the electronics in these cars can be built with 80s/90s microcontrollers from TI...

    Costco car purchase experience.

45K prior to taxes & registration seems outrageous - these days everything seems normal. Americans are getting sensitized to these ownership costs. Unbelievable a Rav4 hybrid also costs the same, we dropped the whole idea. You will be quite happy w/ such a reliable vehicle, enjoy!!

CV boot (small end) grease leak

That's what I intend to do and only replace them if they are torn - will ask my installer to put a new clamp and call it a day.

CV boot (small end) grease leak

The OEM CVs are super expensive and don't see myself dropping non-OEM ones when the OEM is just fine. I intend to buy the boots and redo the axles.

CV boot (small end) grease leak

On my Lexus there is a small leak of grease from the inner boot (small end) and was wondering replacing it or changing the clamp. Any suggestions on boots as I intend to keep my OEM axles in the event the boots are replaced. The Lexus/Toyota dealerships don't even carry them unbelievable we...

Nissan threatens to move Its prized Rogue production from TN

Japan is no longer the yardstick when it comes to quality. My old Highlander was more reliable than Made in Japan Lexus and this is based not just on my observation but a few who own luxury Japanese automobiles. Now coming to cost cutting EOD we end up getting a crappy product... Case in...

    Lexus ES power steering tight

The hard steering is back and looks like it needs a new PS pump - any recommendations. My installer says aftermarket has better warranty vs. OEM and they are no different in quality. Any recommendations (many sites don't have remanufactured ones to explore..)

    Lexus/Toyota strut mount color

Oh after cleaning the mounts of grime, the mounts are stamped R & L. You have to look for it carefully to find it - feel relieved.

    Lexus/Toyota strut mount color

The after market boot came with a universal mount which I don't want on my car. The OEM ones have a color code on them and not sure which is left and right and nothing is stamped on the strut mount

    Lexus/Toyota strut mount color

I am getting my rear struts on Lexus replaced by my mechanic and they are pulled out and apparently he mixed up the mounts. There are 2 colors PURPLE and ORANGE on each mount, could someone let me know which one is the RR and RL mounts. The mounts go into the holes either way and that threw me...
