2006 Jaguar S-type Sport 3.0 156 000 km Out castrol GTX High Mileage - In Castrol GTX High Mileage - Fram Filter - forget spec 3 months - 3000km on the car - does a lot of idling

All I put in my 2006 s type sport jag is Castrol GTX...once a year or 16000km is what the dealer calls for. I change it every 4000km..takes 6.5 liters and total cost incl filter and having the car checked over from top to bottom is $55..oil hardly changes color between changes....not sure if...

4300km put on in 3 months....castrol 5w30 gtx and a 3x fram filter....6.5 liters of oil.... Wonder why the jag dealership advises me not to use synth? Any logic behind this?

Hello all! It takes 7 liters....Jag filter.....and other services...all fluid checks...road test...brake check....(incl 15% sales tax) It is reg Castrol 5w30. Even in my service manual it says reg 5w30....16000km or 1 year (on the oil cap it says CASTROL 5W30)

Just had my car in for its first service...Oil change $80....Castrol 5w30Dino....and they told me 1 year or 16000km....whichever comes first....I was amazed by this.....First thing I said was..."U SURE THIS WILL NOT VOID MY WARRANTY?? Good morning everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holidays! The manual recomends that the car should use 5w30 Castrol dino....and I am fine with that....oil changes every 16 000km or 6 months....16 000km I am not fine with!! Isn't that kinda high?? Just wanted to know if it would be safe...

Good afternoon everyone. My brother wants to make the switch over to synthetic oil.... He asked me what I thought was the best for him....and I mentioned PP 5 30 or Mobil 1 5 30.....(5 30 is what is on the cap) Any input would be fantastic....along with how many KM he could get out of an oil...

Just wanted to say that I love these oils....and have been using both.....lately cause of the sales with PP I have done the past 3 changes..... I am almost due for a change......Just wanted to know how everyone feels....or what oil is better for my Cadillac v8 with 300HP!!!!! Enjoy the nite...

The V POWER here in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada has no ehtanol.... Is this better or worse for cars?

Was using Mobil 1 changing every 6 to 7000km.....This was a used engine (100 000km) that was put in the car 2 years ago since the head gaskets were wrecked... Only 2 oils this motor has seen since in my car was Mobil 1, Mobil 1 EP and PP 7000km is the MOST I have ever gone...scared to go more!!!!

Changed her at (4months) 7000km.....Oil was JET BLACK....is this normal? Was using mobil 1 before reading this site and found so many PP users!!!! Thanx guys!!!! Nick

I use PP in my STS..... Could care less about [censored] that happened 70 years ago...their oil kicks butt now

Yea me either.... I use only 2 kinds of fuel in my STS.... VPOWER or Ultra 94.

For me the 2 best are Vpower Shell and Ultra 94!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom has the same car.....been using mobil since the day she got it new in 06. Not 1 issue with that car...runs fantastic. I would say....use PP or Mobil.....to me both are fantastic oils...that I have learned about on this site. Keep us posted with what u choose.

Wow....thats great that I can go that long!!! I live in Canada...and my car takes 7.5 liters of oil for a fill....is that the same as quarts? I bought 1 - 4.4 liter jug and 3 - 1 liter bottles....the oil filter used was a Delco.... 10w30 - oil... Never been so happy changing my oil!!!!
