    Brand new Focus ST...

I have a 2015 ST, changed the factory fill out at 1500 miles-and It doesn't matter when you change it. I have Redline in it now and mix 3 qts of 5W30 and 3 qts of 5W40 with an Amsoil EA034 filter so a full 6 quarts fits in instead of the 5.7 with the factory filter. Also, ignore the factory oil...

You know what makes me mad?

Kind of makes all those arguments about VIs and HTHS and how much PAO, etc. seem kind of pointless

    Focus st oil change

I have a 15 ST as well, and have Pennzoil Ultra/Platinum in it right now. But I mixed mine, 3 qts of 5W30 and 3 qts of the Euro 5W40 platinum (I run a larger filter to make it an even 6 quarts, because 5.7qts is difficult to figure out). Next I will probably run some Mobil 1 EP and some 0W40...

    Oil capacity 1967 Ford 352

I had an old Galaxie with a 390 in it, that motor held 5 quarts. Kind of funny that those old big blocks only held 5, and my little 2.0L Focus engine holds 6.

    Black car

Unless you are really good with an orbital polisher, a black car might not be a good one to use it on! But I will agree with montero1, the softest microfiber towels you can buy would be the best. If it's going to sit outside, Collinite wax or even PS21 would be a good choice. Go to autogeek.net...

    Can oil affect misfires

If oil is causing a misfire, you have bigger problems than a misfire.

    Outhink the manufacturer.

No flak, but I would venture to say there are a few people on this site that know more about lubrication than those that design engines. Plus, auto manufacturers are help in the grip of gov’t regulations, we are not. Think about it, why do the German automakers favor 5W30 & 5W40 and everyone...

Red Line 5w30, 7,462 mi, 2014 Focus ST

I just picked up a 2015 ST, and have been wondering what the best oil for the Ecoboost would be. It looks like Redline is an excellent choice! Is your engine still stock?

Need Opinions: Take Car to Dealer for Free OC?

I would let them change it, what they will put in there is good oil and will use a Motorcraft filter too-save the stuff you bought for next time.
