The CV Boots I'm trying to protect are on a Toyota. Don't have to worry about cold problems because we live in S. Florida. We're so cold adverse that we check the temperatures if we have to go North to Orlando. If it's tooooo cold we don't go (have to protect those booties).

About a 4" x 3/8", clear plastic tube dropped into the gas tank. I think it would float and tried to "float it back up the fill tube" but no luck. The car is an '03 Corolla. Do I have to drop the tank and fish it out (go Marlins) or just let it float around until it's time to change the gas...
