    Heavy grease that doesnt smell?

Super Lube works ok, its just not quite heavy enough. The DC 111 is much thicker, and provided a better sliding layer between the plates assembly. Zero stiction now, K

    Heavy grease that doesnt smell?

Thanks again, that DC 111 stuff really did the trick. It smoothed out the action quite a bit. That heavier layer between the sliding plates makes a notable difference. K

    Heavy grease that doesnt smell?

I see that at various places, "Molykote", right? I take it its pretty heavy/thick compared to something like Super Lube? K

    Heavy grease that doesnt smell?

Heya Everyone, I've been repairing a set of side cases for my BMW motorcycle. The main latch assembly has to be reasonably greased to work smoothly. Experimented with several kinds of grease, but these 2 notably though: Super Lube, and Redline CV2. The Super Lube works good, but not great...

FRAM extraguard really is garbage - check this out

Thats the most effective bypass system I've ever seen in an oil filter. Bravo. K

    1999 Chrysler LHS Oil Recommendation?

Picked up a few jugs of Valvoline Synpower 5w30 today (had a coupon), and couple of Wix Platinums (had a coupon), lol. Any reason I cant start with a 5000 mile OCI with that oil on this engine? K

    1999 Chrysler LHS Oil Recommendation?

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Its only got 36K miles on it, and driven slowly most of the time. I'll pick up some synth 5w30, Valv/PP/QSUD/M1 (which ever is on-sale), a Wix filter, and call it a day.

    1999 Chrysler LHS Oil Recommendation?

Hi All, I recently acquired a low-mileage 1999 Chrysler LHS, with the all-aluminum 3.5L V6. I've been reading what I can find on the 'net, but it seems there are some distinct difference (besides the obvious material used) between the aluminum block and the earlier iron block versions of this...

Kudos to Team Pennzoil and Gena Fishbeck!

Well, its certainly a good way to generate some good will. After the last rebate debacle, its probably a good idea. I know a few people switched away from Pennzoil after that (including myself). At least this is a genuine attempt to partner with the community to get real-world results.

what is this inside my fram ultras :( help

Too funny... if it was a Purolator with that stuff in it, it would be labeled a contaminant, shoddy QC, and generally savaged here. Fram Ultra gets a pass though, lol...

Anyone Know If Purolator Is Improving The Classic?

So far, the last 2 L14610 I've opened up have been OK. No tears or other issues. One from a '12 Honda Crosstour 3.5L V6, 10152 miles on the filter. The other off a '13 Mazda3 Skyactiv, 7522 miles on the filter. K

Stash of Purolator, what to do?

LOL! I have a L14610 on my car right now, but I'll keep it on there for the remainder of this OCI. When I do take it off, I'll open it up and see what the deal is. If I dont find any tears in the media, I'll pop another one on. If I do find tears, just gonna go grab a Napa Silver instead. K
