    They might be but i'm not sure. I think this car was more like a caddy catera. i could be wrong i also know someone who had one and it was full of problems.

    yes i do mean a short block it was replaced about 2,000 miles after the head. the car was burning about 1.5 quarts every 1,000 miles. i checked my oil after the work was done and it was .5 qt. low

    From what i know about these cars is that they were made from left over parts. Olds stopped making cars soon after the Alero. I think they used parts from older cars....Opel might even have helped olds with the car
