    Noisy Mower Pull-Cord Spool

It sounds to me like the springs that retract the "fingers" on the starter mechanism when it's not being pulled are either stuck, have partially failed, or gotten some debris wedged in them. If the mechanism isn't riveted together, you should be able to unbolt it and inspect them pretty easily.

Steel rims ; How good are ...

The two sets of steel wheels I purchased from Tire Rack have held up extremely well. I've been using one set for 5+ years now (including winters here in NJ) and there is no abnormal rusting, peeling of the finish, or other issues.

Oil to quiet down an old '00 Legacy

I'd go with the 15W-40 HDEO of your choice (these days I prefer Super Tech). As SubieRubyRoo indicated, something like a 20W-50 would be fine in the summer too, and happens to be what I'm using in mine at the moment.

It used to be stated on earlier models, but for some reason they changed the manual to imply that it's not owner servicable.

    Mint Mobile mini-review and discount

I'm always looking for ways to save on my cellular bill. Since I own my own unlocked phones, I moved from AT&T post-paid to AT&T Prepaid several years back, which cut my bill in half. Recently, I began looking at other options again, and decided to switch to Mint Mobile a few weeks ago. This...

    Swollen/Enlarged Lug Nuts?

Yes, it's a real issue, and based on some additional reading, tire shops come across this more often than you might expect. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/s...rd-drivers-time-and-money-lawsuit-claims

    Generator change interval

The manual definitely calls for 20 hour intervals, and that's what I'd follow. The capacity is only 0.6 quarts, so it's quite a small investment, especially if you're buying 5 quart or gallon jugs.

    A/C condensate line not dripping

If the primary drain is clogged and the system is generating condensate, you should eventually see it coming out of the secondary/emergency drain. If it was installed correctly, the emergency drain should intentionally be highly obvious when it's dripping.
