    O'Reilly's 5W-30(SM), 8,096 miles, 04 Honda Accord

This Accord just keeps impressing me no matter the oil used. Finally bringing myself to try a 10,000 mi run with the current fill of 60% Toyota 0W-20 + 40% M1 TDT 5W-40.

I am looking at a 2006 Grand Cherokee with 3.7L and Auto 5 speed transmission. The Trans fluid dipstick hole is capped off and says for dealer use only. What gives? How can I service this transmission and is ATF+4 the correct fluid? Thanks for any help.

We need a uoa of this. No wait,,,we must have one. What say you? Is one planned? My 2.4 has been running 5W-30 in the Oklahoma summers the past two years. You might convince me to try 10W next.

That should be a wonderful combination you have planned. With used oil analysis you could most likely go longer.

    NAPA Conv. 5W-20, 8,202, 04 Honda Accord

Holy Sodium! Napa Conventional 5W-20 made by Ashland and purchased just before it was put into service. Prior sample with only 35 ppm sodium was Synpower 5W-30. Is this high triple digit sodium count the norm for current Ashland products or do I have something to get worried about. I knew they...

    67 Chevy C10 engine swap

My brother has a 1967 Chevy 1/2 ton C10 truck that currently has a very worn out 283 and powerglide transmission that is servicable. We have an opportunity to pick up a 292 inline 6 for a steal of a price. Can anyone give me any pointers or outline any compatability issues this engine would have...

    Napa Conventional Oil

I am currently running the exact oil for a 7500 - 8000 mile run in a 04 Honda Accord with 2.4L. This engine has had excellent results with that mileage on Valvoline and Motorcraft. This oil was cheaper so if it turns in as well of results I am switching to it. I will post a UOA when I get to the...

    Valvoline Durablend 5W30, 9,150 mi, 04 Accord 2.4L

Ok, a few answers for the various questions over the past couple of days. The Durablend came out with the sample. It was replaced with Valv. Synpower 5W-30. I think I just might try to run it to 10K. By 10K on it should be late December. That will be starting the coldest part of our winter so...

    Valvoline Durablend 5W30, 9,150 mi, 04 Accord 2.4L

Another ho, hum report from this Accord. It continues to impress and I slowly continue to try to convince myself that 10K would be OK.

    Substitute for Valvoline 30 Weight?

You guys have Fleet Farms or is that Farm Fleets up there. They should have 30wt. oil of some sort of decent brand in bulk and availability shouldn't be a problem with them. I have an unused gift card stashed away in my travel bag just waiting for the next trip up there. Wish we had those...
