I've been using resource conserving 5w-30 oils to stay within warranty requirements, but now that I'm nodded it doesn't really matter. Which of these two would you go with for a turbo vehicle driven pretty hard (no track though) in constant 100+ degree days in california?

I honestly never knew about group 3, 4, etc oils until I saw a single post mention it earlier today, so I looked into it a little bit. I recently filled my car with Pennzoil Ultra 5w-30 (2012 Subaru WRX), but now I'm reading that this oil is a group 3, thus not really good? So what in the world...

What is recommended? I heard Mobil 1 5w-30 isn't good for these cars, and I don't want to use a 5w-40 for warranty purposes. Any suggestions?

The past two oil changes I've used Royal Purple 5w-30 for my 2004 SRT-4, but then I read somewhere that RP is not good for f/i cars. Is this true? If so, which oil would work best with my car? Amsoil?
