I have a 96 S10 4.3 with 221,000 miles. I've ran mb1 5-30 since I got her at 86,000 miles, and few months ago switched over to Castrol 0-30. I've read on numerous LS1 boards how great this oil is. I'm at 5,000 miles now on my 2nd service interval with this oil and the oil looks like my mb1 5-30...

I have GC in my S10 right now. AM at 5,000 miles all highway driving. and the oil isn't completly black yet. Whys that. I use to run MB1 530 every 3,000 miles and it would be black at that point. I know my engine is spotless inside, (i've had the pan off before) Is this oil not good at cleaning?
