Good choice for a cool white bulb to use in DRL

I tried LED's and they wouldn't run on the reduced voltage. I want to keep DRL because I beleive they are a great safety feature. I wasn't aware of the HIR style bulbs. I may look into them for the light output and not worry about the cool white look. Thanks for the suggestions.

Good choice for a cool white bulb to use in DRL

I've recently purchased a 2011 Toyota Rav4 and want change the DRL bulbs. This Toyota uses the high beams for DRL's. I've changed out the low beams to LED's and want to switch out the highbeams/DRL to a simular light color as the LED's. I really don't want to pay $50 for silverstars. I've...

correct fuel additive for a '41 Ford Flathead engine

Just curious if I should be using an additive in my '41 flathead ford. I've been running 87 octane from Sheets that may(?) contain up to 10% ethanol. I'm in NC and the pumps aren't required to actually tell you if ethanol is in the fuel. I have a new fuel tank and copper line from the tank to...

Help me choose the best oil for a 41 Ford Flathead

Thanks. It is in fantastic condition. Fully stock exept 12v conversion. Kind of a sad story behind it. The Dad bought it in the mid 60's, drove and enjoyed it. Decided to have it restored in the mid 90's. Got cancer and past away before it was completed. The family kept it stored since '95. I...

Help me choose the best oil for a 41 Ford Flathead

Hello all, I've recently picked up a '41 ford pu with the original flathead engine. It's been in storage for 25 years and recently brought back to life. Automotive code reader....best brand?

Not 5k. I'm in the used car business and need one to do a quick scan, not worried about resetting or monitoring. My actron will monitor. My partner has an actron that will check trans and abs codes but is very slow.

    Automotive code reader....best brand?

I'm looking at replacing a Actron AutoScanner CP9575 which is about 3 years old with a newer and quicker version. This doesn't read ABS or Transmission codes. When I start looking it seems overwhelming. I'd like to have recommendations on a good brand and I can follow up from there. Thanks in...
