    Is Break-in Oil a myth

I've always heard of "break-in" oil in engines when they come out of the factory. Is the idea of "break-in" true? If it is, how is the formulation different?

    Oil Change Suction Pump

Does anyone know of a good pump used for sucking the oil out thru the dip-stick tube. I have a new smart car and that is how the oil is changed. I really don't want to spend too much on this or DIY will not be worth it.

    Smart fortwo 799cc Diesel

I just got my Smart fortwo with the 799cc Diesel, the ultimate "Light Duty Diesel". It comes with a M1 Factory Fill 0W-40 which is the recommended oil along with Quaker State 0W-30 (Euro Spec). I thought I would put it out to the BITOG group for an opinion of what oils I might use for this one...

    Temp ratings on Brake Fluid?

At Canadian Tire, they sell about three different Brake Fluids that are compatible with Dot 3. They all say on the lable that they have different "boiling points". What does this mean? Is there an advantage to one over the other, especially for everyday driving?

What Happened to the 3 Mad Ponchos Oil Study

What happened to the Oil Study by 3 Mad Ponchos. They are supposed to start this month and on their site nothing yet. I got addicted to watching how long the M1 would last and can't wait on the Amsoil test. What's going on with this? Did they go to far and the car died?

    Motrlube

There are a few search hits on this oil deep in the forums. All of the comments have been excellent but there are only a few. The manufacture advertises 40K-60K Km drain intervals. I ask again, does anyone have any comments on this oil. I found it in an article at canadiandriver.com

Anyone know who in Western Canada (AB if possible) sells Mobil 1 Filters. I've looked everywhere with no luck. Web site mobil1.ca is interestingly linked to Imperial Oil and does not even mention the filters. Alternately, does any know of a good web retailer for these filters.

    Motormaster Formula 1 Filter

I've learned a lot of this forum in the past weeks so I could not resist cutting open my first filter, a Motormaster Formula 1 from Canadian Tire. It costs about $2-3 more than the Fram and QS filters they sell. On my examination (this may not be a surprise to many of you experienced guys) I...
