Does anyone know if there is a thread discussing the possibility of a new oil from M1 called Mobil1 Advanced Clean 5W-30? I could’ve sworn I read about it somewhere recently.

The deep sugar sand on the East Coast isn’t anything like pics I’ve seen from places in Texas. I’ve driven to Carova on the OBX in my Forester and have past a stuck Suburban and two stuck Wranglers. The stuck Wranglers there are usually rentals.

Presume you’ve never owned an EJ turbo? I fell victim to extending my OCI based on “good uoa’s” but never again. 3-5k is a good interval IMO. 6k would be an extended OCI. 😊

July is for Europe and they get these tires first. No date for N. America yet unless I missed that.

Subaru Japan allows 0W-20, 5W-30, and Euro 0W-30 in this engine.

I’m probably one of the few that kept all screens in after turbo failure on my EJ. I like to live on the edge! Put another 110k+ miles on it before it was rear-ended and I sold it. Stuck with xW-40 oils the rest of the time that I owned it.

I bought my EGO in 2017. My SP unit got iffy as well but I had it was repaired by EGO just before the 5 year warranty expired. I want a new one but this thing just keeps going!

What size Conti’s did you get? 235/60/18? I don’t see them in OEM size.

Even with a 3k mile OCI, that is very low fuel dilution for a Subaru DIT IMO. There is no doubt in my mind that there are lots of people driving Ascents and Outbacks with this engine, doing 10 minute warm-ups during winter, with 2-3 times the amount of fuel dilution.

Agree with the 10W-40 recommendations. Don’t know if that will help your leak issue though.
