Usual % of ethanol in E10 and E15 gas

Is anyone aware of the average % of ethanol in E10 and E15 ethanol gas blends? Pumps here in PA are labeled with the "UP TO" 10 or 15% ethanol content. I imagine it's blended lower than the 10 or 15% max labeling to avoid any penalty when officials test it.

2004 Crown Vic shock/ struts recommendation

I just bought a 2004 Crown Vic LX with 94k from original owner. Shocks and struts are original, and really need to be replaced. What brand is recommended on these, especially perhaps to firm things up a bit. Bilstein? Monroe? First Ford ever.

recommendations for used car for longer drives/ reliability

I'm looking for recommendations for a used car in the $3-4k range for running about and longer trips. I haven't owned a car in a dozen years, so I'd appreciate pointers on where to start looking. The trucks just use too much fuel for longer drives. Last car I owned was a '90 Deville, and while...

using Star Tron concentratefor E10-yea or nea

I've been considering starting to use Star Tron concentrate formula for the E10 87oct. gas I run universally. My fleet is all pre-1995 vehicles. I'd buy the E0 that has recently become available at Wawa around here, but it's only available in 89 octane which I don't need, and it costs $.60 to...

    go green or Dexcool?

My '95 chevy truck needs the lower rad hose replaced, and I'm not sure if I should go old green AF or a Dexcool clone like Super-Tech. I had assumed it had originally come with plain green, as it's a '95. It had green Dexcool in it when I bought it, with no sludge at all, so I flushed it and...

    Pro-Tec Wix made filters

How are the Wix made Pro-Tec lower tier filters? I know Wix makes good filters and these can be had for $1.50 or so on Rock Auto. Their site says good for 3k miles. I used to use Puro Classics, but won't now with the tearing issues.

    Mobil's 5w-20s dexos1 certified?

I see in an e-mail from Mobil regarding Mobil 1 5w-20HM that 2 of their 5w-20 oils are now dexos1 certified. A portent of a switch to 20 weights for GM? "Three more Mobil 1™ oils are now dexos1™ certified by GM, growing the number of GM vehicles whose owners can rest assured that Mobil 1...

    Brake problem

On my 95 Chevy 1500 I lost my brakes; pedal went to the floor. I took a look at the resevoir and it was empty on the valve side. I added more fluid, but the brakes have marginal power now. There are no external leaks visible anywhere. I'm thinking it's leaking inside the master cylinder. Any ideas?

Looking for opinions on a car to modify

I'm looking into getting either a 3rd gen. Camaro or a Mustang(87-93)to get a supercharger kit for to build a decent fun ride. I'm seeking opinions on which would be easier to work on, hold value, and plain old reliability. I was always partial to the Camaros, but finding one with a 350 in...
