You're going to get a few different responses but almost pure highway miles with short intervals, I'd run the lightest oil possible for maximum MPGs. 5w-20 would be my choice.

They recommend every 4-5k because it makes their replacement filter look more economical when you do a cost comparison. Anybody can make their product look cost effective with irrational claims about the OEM product it is replacing.
