    Toyota Sienna

We have a 2011 with the 6speed transmission that's been great up to 135,000. This was the first year of the body style they still make now. It is much larger than my Pilot on the inside, and no timing belt, but not nearly as nice in the interior. Would buy again to haul kids. One other note...

    Honda Pilot

My 16 EXL is pretty average. It's been reliable over 105,000 miles. The infotainment and seat heaters are garbage and not anywhere near what other manufacturers have, as is the Garmin navigation. The service is twice as often as Toyota (for rear diff, transmission) and more expensive, plus the...

Is the new CR-V really that bad?

The oil dilution depends on your use case, if you do short trips (under a few miles) in a cold climate it could be an issue. If you don't its not. And that's the case with most vehicles. Worrying about the airbag recall is stupid. And I don't use that word lightly. Just start making a list of...

    Jeep Wrangler Tires/Rims Question?

I'd be surprised of the info isn't on the inside of one of the spokes, including the offset. That being said I deal with mostly Honda/Toyota craigslist stuff, so Diamler/Chrysler/Ram/Jeep/Dodge/Plymouth wheels might play by different rules.

    Transmission Transfusion

In my Toy/Honda experience changing transmission filters has always been a waste of time. Even at 100,000 I've never seen anything to indicate they needed replacement. So this seems like a pretty tidy way to do it. I don't like that you're spending my money, though. Flongo is 38 bucks on Amazon....

    2006 Rav4

I had the same 4 speed for 11 years in my Highlander. It never mattered what fluid was in it, Mobil 1, castrol IMV, toyota T-IV or WS. It always shifted the same. So I guess I don't really see the benefit to using a botique oil in this transmission, unless you do something way outside what it...

Influence of Engine Oil Viscosity on Piston Ring and Cam Face Wear

The article is from 1993? What makes today the day we need to post this?

    Blender in a can?

I bought a similar base from automotivetouchup and was really impressed with the color match on my 2004. I repainted part of the front bumper and the paint matched the original, the horizontal parts were faded and a bit lighter. Still I think the correct way to do it is to scuff, repaint and...

Cross bars for Sienna roof rack

I got the OEM off amazon, I like them. Much easier to install/remove than our Highlander's.

Bottom bracket - sealed cartridge removal fun

Another option besides an impact is putting the bit in a vise and holding the bicycle frame. Not only do you have a longer lever arm but you have more than one. A Of course, that is awkward. As a guy who works on old bikes and commutes on salted roads, you do what you have to do.

HVAC Combustion Air Intake - Worth Adding?

Here in WI I think it is worth running it. Our current and last houses had one, I would add one if they did not. It does not change the efficiency of the furnace, but it does increase the efficiency of the home. But also, while you said you have an outside air intake to your home the make-up air...

    09 CRV rust

If it's not readily visible why wouldn't you wire brush to bare metal, acid etch primer, basecoat, clear? You can probably get everything here for 40 bucks: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ Or try fluid film or whatever and hope it's only rusting from the outside, I'm not sure what that buys...

    Discount Tire Direct rebates.

"I use the rebate card to buy Amazon credit if equal value. That's easy to use and you don't have to worry about losing the card or forgetting some of the money on it." I do this, add to Amazon account balance the exact value of the card. I'll spend it eventually.
