What do manufacturers recommend for their vehicles in other countries? ... especially countries that have similar climates (cold and hot months). It seems that most manufacturers are going to 5w20. It would be interesting to see if they recommend the same in, say, the UK, Greece, Austrailia...

Hey, On a cold start, I notice that there is a sweet exhaust smell (while standing next to the car). My parents' cars also have this similar smell once in a while. I am assuming that a cold catalytic converter is the cause of this... but does anyone have any more insight? Is this smell...

I just did a drain/fill on my car. I have a little more than 3 quarts of old Toyota WS ATF. I was wondering if I could use the old fluid for something. Maybe as a bar/chain lube? If I can't I will just dispose of it properly. By the way, this is factory fill/11,500 mile fluid. Thanks.
