    0w-20 direct injection oils

That’s the first thing that came to mind for me, as well. Translation apps are far from perfect.

    0w-20 direct injection oils

    Sure enough. I found it.

    0w-20 direct injection oils

Yeah, I’m intrigued. That’s quite specific for an owners manual. @Osman Any chance you can post a picture of the owners manual page that’s recommending <2,000ppm calcium?

Trying to determine the viscosity of two different oils at a specific temperature...help

Not sure how accurate this is, but it has been passed around for quite some time. Punch in your 40 and 100c viscosities and it’ll graph them for you. https://www.widman.biz/English/Calculators/Graph.html

Does dust not exist where you’re from? Respect on that clean garage.

    2025 Toyota Rav4 engine oil update, 5w-30

The manuals I’ve seen word it something like “a higher viscosity may be better for towing or high speeds.” Lord help us. OP has been legitimately fretting over this for months. And, I’m not sure how that email helps them sleep any better at night vs what the manual says. OP should pick a...

What is considered a respectable HTHS?

@ZeeOSix cool graphs. Any idea what’s going on with the Trailer Tow data on the Liner wear graph? 0w-16 showing almost zero wear while 5w-30 did show wear is not what I’d have expected.

Trying to disguise product made in China

Found the same thing with a stainless steel pan. Brand is Misen. Received it. Saw the P.R.C. stamp. Confirmed via email it was China. Asked for a return label. To their credit they didn’t put up a fight. Not everything made in China is crap. But, don’t try and hide that your products are...

Invest money into mountain towing companies!

Fined/billed the full amount of the recovery is A-ok with me. As long as my tax dollars aren’t going toward shielding them from their own negligence/stupidity.

Do you know what your oil, coolant, and ATF temps were?

    Battery Minder Plus Experiment Concludes

Another vote for heat being the battery killer here. Anecdotally, trunk-mounted batteries last substantially longer than those located in the engine bay. For my vehicles with batteries in the engine bay, I usually raise the hood after I pull into the garage.

Ford 3.5L V6 with 12 qt. of oil

I mean if you just dilute the “wear metals” with more oil, you can post some stellar UOA’s here to increase your BITOG cred. Dare I ask how well it was running? If it was running.

    Most reliable used simple/basic vehicle

That one bolt on the back side of the starter was fun. :cautious: Overall, not bad. However, I do own an M3. The accord is easy to work on compared to that thing. 😂 Luckily, I heard the same about the AC Delco before I bought the Denso part.

    Most reliable used simple/basic vehicle

This. 7th gen accord with a k24. Mine is coming up on 300k miles with only the starter and O2 sensors needing to be replaced. Can be found with MT. But, mine is 5AT and has been great. ATF changes are the easiest vehicle maintenance you’ll ever do. Overall, maintenance on these is easy and cheap.

Nissan Frontier, 3.8L new engine; what oil?

I also doubt LSPI. Can we get more details on the engine that failed? Mileage, service history, etc.

    BFG Elite Force tires

Agreed. BFG is currently on my poo list. I recently had to exchange two KO3’s because they wouldn’t balance. Eventually returned the whole set and went with AT4W’s. Much better tire.
