Top off oil for 4.0 Jeep

Hello my BITOG friends. I have run M1 0-40 for almost 7,000 miles with a Mobil 1 304 extended oversized filter. I'm a quart low with a thousand miles left before the oil change. Before going to the local AutoZone today, I wanted to see what you'd recommend to top off. I have 200,000 miles on the...

Sgt. P Motor Oil...... The engine destroyer

"Further, the high levels of iron and copper indicate the product may contain used oil. For these reasons, it is NOT suitable for use in virtually all automobile engines currently on the road and will likely cause harm to an engine if used". WOWWWW.

    02 Wrangler morning Stall

Morning Brothers and Sisters. 02 Jeep Wrangler. 4liter straight 6. 210,000 miles. I start it, wait 4 or 5 minutes, reverse on to the street, put it in drive - and like clockwork, it stalls. Drop into neutral, start it, put in drive, pull away. Vehicle is sluggish. Stop at traffic light, vehicle...

New oil as flush pre new-fill.

Friends, How do you feel about using 5 quarts of any grade of STP Oil + 1 quart of Mystery Marvel Fluid with a new filter as a FLUSH. I'd idle the Jeep (w 200,000 miles) for 6 hours, hence, as per the govts' calculations, have theoretically 'driven' it 300 miles. Id dump it and put in some real...

    M1 0-40 or M1 15 w50

I think we sort of have a tie. Both are acknowledged as the 'best' readily version of M1 available on the market, depending on application. I thank you all.

    M1 0-40 or M1 15 w50

So, question. What's a 'better made' oil? Buddy at Auto Zone wants to be able to say, "This is the best oil Mobil 1 has on the market". I told him my friends here would give him an answer within 24 hours. Oh, and to those who helped me with the Oil Sending Unit for my Jeep: THANKYOU. -A

Largest M1 filter for Jeep 4.0

Dear BITOG'ers I was wondering whatis the largest Mobil 1 filter for my straight 6 4.0 motor of the Jeep Wrangler. It calls for a 204. Will take a 301. Wondering about the 403. May use M1 15w50, since the 0-40 is shearing easy, and I can hear the valves getting starved sometimes. On that note...

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Perhaps. The Youtube I found on replacing the wiper multifunction was simple enough. http://youtu.be/iSdw-7p7vhQ . Its went away yesterday morning, then at at about 17:15, the turn signals and windshield wipers were inoperable again. The gear shift lights also go on and off when I try to use the...

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Hey Chris142 - I cant tell, but its a little bit of both doing the hesitation during the 1st 1 minute of driving. Im definitely taking the Jeep to the dealer in Jersey to hammer out the turn signal / light issue. Thats the latest weirdness. This stint at Tobyhanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania has...

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Okay, here's a bonus - the wipers went out; the switch is inoperable. But the hazards & turn signals only work when the headlights are turned off. Thanks for the OEM comment Donald; looks like I'll be heading to the dealer (sadly) very soon for the apparent Multifunction switch replacement. Do...

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Thank you Pop_Rivit. Wow, that was an identical post on the forum. I really really hope its a $10 job and not a $500 fix for the hesitation. On that note - I'm getting the Hub Bearings replaced tomorrow at the Bayonne, NJ Firestone. Thanks again. -A

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Oh I forgot all about that. The throttle body was clean and the spark plugs changed 400 miles ago(!). I thought fuel may be an issue, but the fact that the hesitation only happens when I restart driving after starting the vehicle makes it a weirdo dilemma. Thanks Man.

    Weird Jeep cold weather issue

Whoa. RE: "...if you have a Jeep with no cracked #331 head, nor cracked piston skirts, nor substandard Teeves calipers nor blend door problem then feel lucky if all you have is some hesitation during the first 5 min of driving."
