    What makes Euro oils different?

First off, thanks for that detailed explanation, it helps clarify this issue. So what would be a reasonably safe drain interval with a race oil? How much would the higher detergents impact the higher level of AW chemistry? Can you counter it simply by adding more (AW) or would lower detergent...

    What makes Euro oils different?

So the whole ZDDP reduction is what brought on LSPI & lowering calcium is a way to mitigate that with lowered ZDDP levels. Lake didn’t mention that. Lol. That’s pretty much what Lake is saying on his channel, that lowered calcium is helping AW properties, & that SP is the best thing to come...

New source for premium guard filters CHEAP

Well, the price went up, they're $62.80 for a dozen so $5.2333 each. Also suspect is this in the item description: "Thread Size M16 x 1.5 or M18 x 1.5" So, which is it? M16 or M18?

Looking for the most experienced oil filter expert (or moderator) to answer one question.

So, to be clear, these are the OG Ultras with the holes in center tube & wire screen backing? I see on the box they are the 15,000 mile item. I went ahead & ordered the XG5 for the BB 402 as well, hope they are legit OG

What Does "Nominal" Micron Rating Mean?

My mistake, Donaldson does not show an absolute value. Thanks for that link, in one statement under the "Nominal" heading it was said: "For example, I was recently asked my opinion on an inline hydraulic filter labeled a 10-micron cellulose filter. Digging deeper, I found that the filter...

Looking for the most experienced oil filter expert (or moderator) to answer one question.

I think this might be legit, the seller only has the less popular sizes, likes the 3980 or shorter 3387 with 18mm inlet. He doesn't have the more popular 10575 or 10060 with 22mm inlet. I'm gonna get the 3980 for my 3.4 V6

What Does "Nominal" Micron Rating Mean?

Maybe this has been covered, but I couldn't find it. I'm looking at a Baldwin B7449 oil filter with 9.8 nominal, 27 absolute micron rating. How would that compare to a percentage of a specific micron? Thanks

So with all these issues with the construction of spin on filters, does anyone make a conversion to cartridge? Apparently these cartridge Frams are wire backed synthetic with no bypass or lip seal to leak.

Fram Ultra fits, but Fram Endurance doesn't?

If you’re looking at the charts, they will not recommend an oversized filter for your car if it didn’t come with one. Case in point, 2008-2010 Buick Enclave with 3.6 V6 came with the shorter filter, the 2011 & later came with the longer one (Fram 10575). I use the longer in my 2008. My 2020 6.0...
