The suburb bordering DFW where we live has no HOA. The second someone violates a city code, a notice is promptly left on the violator's front door. Very prompt and strict city code enforcement here (y)
I grew up in the 70s, and it was just like that as well (y). They were both military (US Army) . Grandfather always wore a suit, grandmother was a homemaker after my parents were born, but was always made up and dressed up.

Interesting, because the old gray bottle PPHM was smooth and silent in my 300ZX. Yellow bottle PPHM was noisy in my Accord. M1 is smooth and silent in my Accord, hence why it's going also in my 300ZX.
Zevon had an amazing body of work. Started out with some excellent surf rock around 1964 with Kim Fowley. My favorite era from him is his folk rock from 1966.
I think the way stuff like this works, is solely on promotion ($$) and having a big money label backing you up.
I always thought high mileage oils from the past had a stronger add pack than their regular siblings, with higher anti wear additives. Has the trend gone the other way with lower anti wear additives?
My friend's Pentastar sounds like a bucket of marbles for a few seconds after being re-started on a hot engine that's been sitting for awhile. After the oil gets good and circulated it's smooth and silent. PP 0W20 and Mopar oem oil filter.
