Brutality with intent to kill.......driving a 10000 ft pass in a 67vw Bug in third gear, with 4 people in the car, in the middle of winter. Painful for the car and equally painful for the occupants.
Horse pucky. Unless your 800lbs or are walking through barbed-wire 8 hrs a day........5 weeks for redwings?? Come on.

1998 BMW M3, 199k and just tires, front brakes, and fluid and filter changes changes. Good car, and fun.
1996 Tacoma 4x4 3.4 v6, 288k. Same as above. Oh, and both had new plugs too. 10k oci for both. Still driving them.
I'm 10k OCI with all my cars and 20k Oil filter interval (OFI). I own a 96 3.4l 4x4 Tacoma, 290k, 98 BMW M3, 199k (Dinan) and 2012 Honda Fit 81k. Same for all for the last 15 yrs. less work and economical.
What are you all doing?
This is a funny thread. In the future we will all be driving electric cars.....and all cars will be able to go 300k. But the roads will be clogged and it will be easier multipurpose transportation. We won't be driving much.
The vehicle needs to be level when the oil is drained. If it's up on ramps then jack the other end up to make it level before you drain. You'll get complete drain when the vehicle is level. (even though a little old oil will always remain in the engine).
It's a terrible thing in the long run! The use fossil fuels is helping to increase global warming. It's a fact. While it may not be ALL caused by man, there is no denying that a huge portion is. Thinking about today is easier than thinking about the future.
Check the PCV and it's connection pipe for carbon build up. If that's not the problem (which I believe it is) change the oil to synthetic 5-30 and change the oil filter every 10k and just keep adding oil. Your doing a full oil change every 8k.
