Don't go with Jasper. I found out the hard way (3 engines later) that they're not what they used to be.

That's not wildly uncommon in that industry. Jasper requires oil changes every 3-4 months or 3,000-4,000 miles, whichever comes first. For both of the engines that Jasper had to warranty for me, neither had anything near what was an oil related problem.
