well it does degrade because with a pcv all the gases escaping past the rings in the crankcase are sucked into the manifold. without a pcv they stay there and contaminate the oil.

i change my oil every week or two i could care less about oil degradation. Its not creating much blowby at all. In fact full throttle on a dyno there isn't a wisp of smoke coming out of the pipes until the throttle is shut. i can only imagine how much suction there is ina 6.4L motor at 7900 rpm...
