    Motomaster Formula 1 TC-W3

I used to browse this forum a lot and recently found vibration in my 2010' 335i, and I poured some motomaster into the fuel tank, and I myself was surprised with the results. I would never believe that fuel cleaner can do anything, but it did help in this case. No more annoying vibration in the...

    BMW SMG transmission 75w140

I am gonna use oem fluid. But my question is like, does it take a random guy at royal purple to produce a gear oil, but it takesa professional team at castrol, spending hundred and thousands of dollar and R&D to make the BMW oem fluid?

    BMW SMG transmission 75w140

I know this might not be the best forum to ask which oil to use to fix a differential groaning/chatter issue. I know that I would end up with the OEM BMW fluid. But I had this bugging my brain for the whole day today trying to think about it. Question: Am I naive to think that royal purple oil...

About to engine flush my 04' M3

yes yes yes ! I understood everything you explained and I've been in browsing the forum long enough that I know it's not a good idea flushing the engine. But I'm hoping someone would talk me out of it. You know, having your car in the garage and plenty of free time after dinner, I'd always find...

About to engine flush my 04' M3

Reason I wanna do - is cause I see that new oil gets dark and dirty right away. And I can see that the internal is stained with a brown residue. I'm wishing to return the engine back into it's prime (eventhough i don't feel a lose of power yet). I knew I'm gonna get these kinda response from you...

About to engine flush my 04' M3

Please talk me out of this I'm about to put 1) Lubro Moly Engine flush 2) ATF 3) 1/2 bottle of gunk engine flush 4) seafoam 5) NO AUTO RX please *cause I can't get it over the counter into the crankcase of my 04' M3 engine. I'd regular oil change according to BMW recommended interval...

Spray Seafoam into Intake pipe before throttle

The only reason I wanted to spray seafoam or misting seafoam into the intake tract is because of my laziness. Remove all those parts to reach for the throttle isn't something I wanna do at this time of the year when it's almost zero degree celcius out there. No one had done this before?

Spray Seafoam into Intake pipe before throttle

Hi guys, I tried searching if anyone did this before, or call me crazy. Engine is a 2000' Mercedes 4.3L V8 SOHC with 70K miles. I'm trying to see what your responses are - if I sprinkle/sparingly spray seafoam into the intake pipe (after MAF sensor and after intake filter). So, the seafoam...

5W20 in place of 10W60 for cleaning

    ^ If i'm trying a thinner oil, I'll try M1 5W50 then M1 0W40, if I hear any more lifter noise, i'll switch back to 10W60.

5W20 in place of 10W60 for cleaning

I'll try a short OCI with mobil 1 5W50 full syn which is Porsche approved and MB SLR engine approved on the E46 M3. Then, if I don't see any weird noise and no burning oil issues, i'll try another short OCI with M1 0W40. The spec sheet of M1 5W50 states that it's the most advance synthetic oil...

5W20 in place of 10W60 for cleaning

reasons of doing that is, I heard that 0W20 is a very good cleaning oil, just similar to people pouring thinner chemicals (ATF etc) to clean out thicker dirty oil. While keeping the engine lubricated and running, it's doing it cleaning at the same time. I would like to clean the varnish or I...

5W20 in place of 10W60 for cleaning

This might be a question that you guys have covered many times, but I'm looking for any input from personal experience that your engine is running fine. My engine calls for 10W60 oil (2004 BMW E46 M3 engine)and it seems a bit sludged up for internal parts (dark stain seen from oil fill hole)...

BMW M3 calls for 10w-60 - what to use?

If bmw uses 10W60 as a bandaid, I bet you that AMG improved SLR engine uses 5W50 as a bandaid as well, cause most AMG vehicle only require M1 0W40. My cousin's 09 M3 runs M1 5W50 (stock calls for 10W60) as well as a 02' M5 runs 5W50 (stock filler cap calls for 5W30 only) with no problem. The...
