    Lube for small ball bearings?

I have several very small 2,000 RPM DC fans with ball bearings measuring about I.D. = 3/32", O.D. = 5/16". What would be a good lube to use on them? The bearings are unsealed and seem to have no lube in them, and there's not even oily residue or dust on the outside.

Small ball bearings - which grease?

What grease should I use for unsealed ball bearings found in very small electric motors that spin at 1,000-6,000 RPM and similar in size to fan motors use in computers? I changed it again 1500 miles later, and it still had a red tint to it after the change. What could make the oil red? I don't think that automatic transmission...
